PennDOT is working to revolutionize the operation of their traffic field network infrastructure through the implementation of real-time network monitoring and standardized change and configuration management.  This session will discuss the upcoming plans and current progress of the efforts to improve uptime and reliability of ITS infrastructure through standardized tooling and processes, and PennDOT’s planned deliverables in 2025.  We will discuss the correlation of the benefits to the traveling public, traffic operations community, and Engineering District ITS maintenance from stabilizing the foundation of the operation’s field network.
