Transportation Engineering and Safety Conference 2024

PennDOT’s Pub 13M, Design Manual 2 Highway Design is being replaced with Pub 13, Design Manual 2- Context Roadway Design.  Almost all chapters have been published and this workshop will present and overview of the new design manual and offer a “how to” on applying the manual to various highway design projects.  Topics will include: General overview of he changes, ADA considerations, Example New Construction and Reconstruction projects, Example Bicycle projects, Example Rural projects, Example Modal projects. This session offers an opportunity to gain an understanding of designing in a Context Driven environment.
