Gustave Scheerbaum is Director of Strategic Initiatives for Department of Streets at the City of Philadelphia. Having over 25 years engineering design and program management experience in our industry, Gus currently leads special transportation programs, multimodal safety initiatives, and manages the City’s portfolio of Automated Enforcement funded safety programs. Gus served ten years as an appointed member of the Pennsylvania’s Transportation Advisory Committee contributing to state policy and technical guidance and chairing two project subcommittees on behalf of the Committee and State Transportation Commission. He is currently a member of the State Traffic Safety Technical Advisory Group. He is a career bicycle commuter; a Penn State graduate in Civil Engineering and German; and a licensed Professional Engineer.
