About me
Angela spearheads all transportation planning activities—development, monitoring, revision, and evaluation—for a four-county region. Her projects have included the $500 million Regional Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP); $1.3 billion Twelve Year Plan (TYP); and Long-Range Transportation Plan. Angela also manages the units responsible for Railroad Crossing Safety, Pennsylvania Turnpike Coordination, Geographic Systems Information (GIS), as well as Transportation Alternatives, Multimodal and Locally Owned Bridge Projects. She has successfully secured over $20 million in competitive “Congressionally Directed Spending” as additional funds to the region. She has worked at the Department for 22 years, with extensive experience in IT, Maintenance, and Design.
Angela received a bachelor’s degree in business administration/ IT management from California University of Pennsylvania. In 2012, she was honored to receive PennDOT’s Star of Excellence Award, which recognizes PennDOT's top performers among more than 11,000 exemplary staff. She is a 2014 graduate of the Leadership Education Achievement Development Program and currently serves as a mentor for other women pursuing a career in transportation. She is also a graduate of the 2018 Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of Administration’s Leadership Development Institute and the AASHTO National Transportation Management Conference. In 2024, Angela is participating in PennDOT’s 2024 Executive Development Leadership Program. `
Angela lives in Connellsville with her family and enjoys golfing, fishing, and camping with her husband Chris ,11-year-old son Christian, and their cats.
