Chris Norris, P.E., was appointed to the position of Deputy Secretary for Highway Administration in the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) on June 8, 2024. As such she oversees a team of over 8,000 employees who are responsible for the maintenance, design and construction of all state-maintained roads and bridges within the Commonwealth.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University, Chris began her career with the Department of Transportation as a Civil Engineer Trainee in 1998 in Engineering District 4-0. Over the years she worked in various engineering positions in districts and Central Office including the Acting District Executive in Engineering District 6-0. She most recently served as the Bureau Director of Construction and Materials since November 2015.
Chris enjoys golfing and spending time at Raystown Lake with her husband, family, and friends.
