With over 25 years of transportation experience, Robert Mariner most recently served as the Deputy Director of the Office of Infrastructure Finance and Innovation in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Transportation Policy at the US Department of Transportation. He also served as the Program Manager for the Transportation Investments Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) Discretionary Grant Program [now known as the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) Transportation Discretionary Grants program]. In 2009, Robert directed the development of the TIGER discretionary grant program that is responsible for the implementation, administration, and delivery of more than 500 multi-modal projects totaling more than $8.0 billion in discretionary grants across the country. Robert currently serves as the Vice President for Federal Infrastructure Programs for the TranSystems Corporation. In this role, Robert works very closely with interested project sponsors to develop a strategy for pursuing federal infrastructure funding and preparing competitive discretionary grant program applications.
